Introduction to Imam Malik Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers

Malik Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers is located in the city of Istanbul in the Republic of Turkey.

The institute offers the Arabic Language Diploma, certified by the Faculty of Islamic Da‘wah in Tripoli, Libya.
This diploma enables its holder to continue studying for the Bachelor’s degree at Imam Malik International Academy of Sciences.

Objectives

Spreading and teaching the Arabic language, and striving to:

  • Acquiring the skill of correct reading and understanding the texts being read.
  • Acquiring conversational skills to use in the communication process.
  • Acquiring writing skills.
  • Acquiring the listening skill to understand what they hear in various media and other contexts.

Second: Achieving communicative competence through:

  • Enabling learners to communicate with native speakers and interact with them in conversation and writing.
  • Empowering them to express themselves in various situations.
  • Translation exchanged between Arabic and their native language.

Third: Achieving cultural competence through:

  • Developing cultural and Islamic awareness among learners and students.
  • Providing them with a diverse understanding of Islamic Arab culture.

Features of the Arabic Language Diploma

Spreading and teaching the Arabic language, and striving to:

Study Program and Educational System

  • The student studies five days a week, averaging 20 to 30 hours per week.
  • The actual study period at the institute is nine months, divided into four levels, with each level lasting two months.
  • There are oral and written exams at the end of each level, and those who pass move on to the next level.
  • At the end of the academic year, the student takes a comprehensive exam covering all the materials studied.
  • The student is awarded a certificate of completion of the qualifying diploma in the Arabic language at the end of the academic year.
  • A graduation ceremony is held at the end of the academic year, during which students present various shows and activities representing what they have learned during the academic year.

Admission Requirements:

  • The student must have good conduct and behavior.
  • Regularizing legal residency in the host country.

Graduation Certificate:

  • The student is granted a qualifying diploma certificate issued by the Faculty of Islamic Da‘wah in Libya — an official governmental college — upon successfully completing the academic year with a score of no less than 65%. Its certificates are accredited by the Libyan Ministry of Higher Education and the World Federation of Islamic Universities.
  • It also qualifies the holder to continue their studies at the Faculty of Islamic Da‘wah or one of its branches.
